I. STAFF REPORTS
a. OPERATIONS – Emily
The end of the month report should be out tomorrow. For the month of November, we raised $7162 online and are in the midst of a merchandise sales drive, both online and with a printed insert in a direct mailing for November. Raised $3949.50 in merchandise, a lot online.

The Online Green Bookstore is now online. Merchandise policy for including books. If you have suggestions, refer to MerchCom co-chairs – bookstore@gp.org

Data base update project with Chris Uzall: Emily has been in communication and told him we want to go forward on this, but need to secure funding. She is not sure if it will be ready to go live at beginning of the year, but it will eventually make things easier at the office and open up possibilities for sharing information w/ fundraising assistants, accountant, state parties. Echo is willing to take on working to raise the needed $800, and asked if other SC members want to make calls this Tues and Thurs nights. Katey will contribute. Holly will help make calls.

b. POLITICAL DIRECTOR – Brent
Brent is in the process of entering results of election cycle into elections database. Brent is also updating the officeholders database and will run this by Mike Feinstein in a week or two. He will go back to candidates and officeholders and solicit donors lists, and invite officeholders to Officeholders Network. This will involve land mail/email blast & phone follow up, expect to take a couple months.

CCC is starting back up again with calls next week. Their next call scheduled for Tuesday, 12/5, 9 p.m.

Projects include working on a web graphic of the current ballot access situation, and a pin-point graphic showing the locations of Green officeholders. Brent plans to issue a challenge to the state parties to recruit 1000 candidates in 2008.

In terms of preparation in 2007, we will need to go beyond campaign schools and do more “training the trainers,” expand on what has been done. This conversation will continue in the CCC, Media Committee and other relevant committees.

According to Ballot Access News, this was the second strongest mid-term election for indies and third parties since 1934, and the Green Party led the way. (2002 was the best year.) We can expect to have 20 ballot lines going into 2007. GA talked of starting their petition drive in April, Utah is starting theirs, AZ is starting one soon.

c. FUNDRAISING – Brent
Trying to get interviews set up for east coast fundraising assistant; next, will work on setting up central fundraising assistant, looking to get both positions up and running January 1.

Current re-solicitation is doing well and will provide good source of income in December: a little over $2000. About $1200 in proposed sustainer income this month. Brent is hopeful for some large donations January 1.

Matters involving potential electoral candidate.
8:34 p.m. – 8:50 p.m.

5) Third Party Anti-War Forum Participation
GPUS was invited to send a representative to this event, to take place in January, 2007, in NYC. Cost would be $1200, and advice is that this event is not a big advantage for the GPUS to be represented at.

AGREED not to pursue this. Jody will write to Scott McLarty and ask him to reply.

6) Phil Huckelberry suggested a joint call between SC, PCSC, CCC & AnmCom – potential stakeholders involved in working on the presidential nominating convention and floor process in 2008. Brent also mentioned the role of the political director.
