WASHINGTON, DC -- The Green Party has announced a schedule of press conferences, panels, and other events for reporters, bloggers, videographers, and other members of the media at the party's 2013 Annual National Meeting, which will take place July 25 to 28 in Iowa City, Iowa (

The schedule is pasted below. A more exhaustive schedule, listing workshops, plenary meeting of the Green Party's National Committee, and other organizing events, is available at the website.

Most events at the meeting will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union, 125 N Madison Street, which serves as the student union building for the University of Iowa ( / Campus Map:

The Green Party's web site has posted a Media Credentialing page ( for members of the media interested in covering the meeting. The party will also have on on-site registration table for media, on the third floor of the Iowa Memorial Union. A 'Media Kit' for the meeting is online here:

2012 Green presidential nominee Jill Stein, vice-presidential nominee Cheri Honkala, 2008 Green presidential nominee David Cobb, Green candidates running in 2013, Green officeholders, and other Green leaders will gather with party members at the meeting. Other guests include Francis Thicke (National Organic Standards Board), Iowa State Senator Rob Hogg, and Iowa State Representative Mary Masher. They will speak at press conferences, panels, and other events open to the media and will also be available for interview.

Since the 2012 election, Dr. Stein and Ms. Honkala have established a Green Shadow Cabinet, which includes nearly 100 prominent scientists, community and labor leaders, physicians, cultural workers, veterans, and others. The Green Shadow Cabinet provides an ongoing opposition and alternative voice to the dysfunctional U.S. political establishment (
