Green Party issues rebuttals to President Bush's State of the Union address and to the Democratic Party responses
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Green Party of the United States has issued a series of rebuttals to President Bush's 2006 State of the Union address and to the Democratic Party's responses to Mr. Bush's January 31 speech.
The rebuttal clips have been placed on the Green Party's web site and be downloaded at <http://gp.org/video/2006stateofunion/>.
The Green Party will also send by overnight mail a Video News Release (default format: DVCAM) of the rebuttals to any member of the media who requests it. A form to request the Video News Release has been placed at <http://www.gp.org/forms/media/2006_sou_form.shtml>.

Mr. DeLear reiterates the party's call for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq and for investigation and impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for violations of the law and deceptions that led to the invasion of Iraq.
Ms. Rogers discusses the failed Medicare prescription drug bill and the urgent need for single-payer National Health Insurance.
Mr. Whitney addresses energy policy, global warming, and Green solutions to the growing climate crisis.
Ms. Bowser covers the attack by President Bush and Congress on the social safety net and on local democracy, in Washington, D.C. and throughout the U.S.
Ms. Rotzler talks about the Green Party and its role as an independent, noncorporate party.
