Green Party launches Speakers Bureau
WASHINGTON, DC -- The Green Party's Media Committee announced the launch of the Green Party Speakers Bureau at <http://gp.org/speakers/speakers.shtml>.
Green Party speakers will be available for appearances on TV and radio on a wide range of issues, and will provide analysis and solutions from a Green Party perspective.
"There's a narrow range of Democratic and Republican political opinion that dominates national TV and radio shows," said Ann Link, New York Green and member of the party's national media committee. "Since Democrats and Republicans depend on corporate money, they advocate for corporate interests. Because of our independence from corporate influence and our shared political philosophy, Green speakers offer a challenging counterpoint and out-of-the-box solutions for urgent problems such as lack of health care, job loss, environmental degradation, global warming, the erosion of fair and accurate elections in the US, and the disastrous Iraq War."
The speakers include current and former Green Party elected officials, candidates, policy experts, and local activists. To book a speaker, contact:
