| D.C. Statehood Green Candidates to Speak at Rush-Hour Rally in Ward 7 on Friday, July 23. |

D.C. Statehood Green Party July 21, 2004 Contact: WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A rally in Ward 7 on Friday, July 23 will feature D.C. Statehood Green Party candidates and hip-hop artists. The event will take place at the Benning Road Metro Station (Benning Road and Central Avenue, NE) during the evening rush hour, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Michele Tingling-Clemmons, candidate for Ward 7 member of D.C. City Council, will join Adam Eidinger, candidate for 'Shadow' U.S. Representative, and Laurent Ross, candidate for At-Large Council member at the rally. Head-Roc, DC Guerilla Poetry Insurgence, and other local artists will perform at the rally. The candidates will speak about their campaigns and issues facing D.C. residents, including the movement to win statehood for the District of Columbia. Statehood Greens have sharply criticized Del.
