Wilmington, Delaware: Vivian Houghton, Green Party candidate for Delaware Attorney General has received the endorsement of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists of Delaware (CBTU-DE). This follows on the heals of Houghton receiving the endorsement of the UAW CAP Council last week.
³Receiving the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists of DE endorsement is very significant to me², said Houghton. ³My campaign is all about empowering and bringing together people of diverse cultures, races and beliefs. Having CBTU-DE recognize our work and vision builds upon our grassroots efforts to create positive change for Delaware.
³Vivian has earned the CBTU-DE endorsement through her years of work for civil and union rights², said Mel Phillips of CBTU-DE. ³We urge all union brothers and sisters to support and vote for Vivian."
The CBTU is a catalyst for progressive social and political action. It provides data and information relevant to the lives of African American workers and the unions and communities that they support.
