New Chair and Green Party makes plans to solidify and diversify its community-based coalitions. Prepares to run more quality candidates in 2004.

Newark, Delaware - At its recent post-election meeting, Karen Lienau was selected by unanimous vote Chair of the Green Party of Delaware (GPDE) Coordinating Council . "I feel it is my duty as an advocate for the poor and as caretaker of my partner's children to become involved in the future of government in the United States,"said Ms. Lienau. "I am genuinely concerned about the amount of power we have given our elected officials and how that power has been corrupted by big business and greed. The Green Party is where I feel comfortable to take a stand on these issues. I am excited about the prospect of making things happen!"

"Our immediate plans are to analyzes the 2002 election results and makes plans to build upon our successes," Ms Lienau said.
