David Cobb is bringing his presidential campaign to Florida.  Keeping his promise to campaign with Greens running for local office, Mr. Cobb will participate in a rally and fundraiser with Bay County Commission candidate Henry Lawrence.  The rally and campaign fundraiser will be held at "The Place" in Downtown Panama City, Florida, from 6 to 9 PM on Wednesday, July 28.

Henry Lawrence is a established community activist in Bay County.  Well known for his bicycling and environmental advocacy, Mr. Lawrence is dedicated to helping his community preserve its pristine natural resources, while promoting environmentally sensitive and community controlled development.  Proudly Green, Henry Lawrence has that unique ability to reach beyond partisan politics, bridging the gap between all sectors of society.  In speaking of his campaign, he tells us "it's not about politics, it's about people." "The Cobb-LaMarche presidential campaign is about growing the Green Party and providing the voters with a genuine alternative to the corporately-funded establishment parties.  I believe a majority of Americans share our opposition to the continued occupation of Iraq and join us in supporting universal health care, a living wage and publicly-funded elections," said Cobb.  A long-time Green Party activist, Cobb, 41, and his running mate, Patricia LaMarche, earned the party's presidential nomination in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 26, after serving the party as a lawyer, lecturer and community organizer.
