Co-Chairs, Dekalb County Green Party.

The Dekalb County Green Party resolved to urge its members and supporters to work and vote for Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney in the upcoming primary on August 20th.

Congresswoman McKinney is an outstanding representative in Washington. D.C. For all the residents of Dekalb County. She has an excellent legislative record on the environment, on the equal rights of women, people of color.  Immigrants, gays and lesbians and working people and on such pressing issues as health care, education and Social Security. As conservative forces led by the Bush administration seek to take advantage of the terrible events of September 11 to restrict civil liberties, stigmatize "the least among us", reward the rich with tax breaks and the corporations with military contracts and rollback environmental, labor and consumer protections, Congresswoman McKinney has been a voice of conscience and reason for peaceful justice rather than endless war.

"The Greens will not sit idly by while Congresswoman McKinney faces attack from Georgia's corporate and political elite," said Badili Jones, co-chair of the Dekalb County Green Party, "Now more thane ever she deserves our active support."

The Green Party of Dekalb County calls upon its members and supporters as well as all environmentalists, progressives and fellow citizens in Georgia's 4th District to campaign, contribute and vote for Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney in the primary on August 20th. Please encourage everyone to vote in their best interest for Cynthia McKinney.
