Law Appoints Environmental Advisor, Unveils TV Ad. |
For Immediate Release- September 19, 2002 "Anne brings a wealth of knowledge, an indispensable set of skills, and a proven record of improving the quality of life for the residents of the County to my campaign, we're excited to have her on board. She has a genuine commitment to strengthening locally-owned businesses in a way that bolsters our economy and is sensitive to our beautiful surroundings," said Law, owner of a Ferndale-based hardware store. Mr. Law's commitment to improving quality of life for the residents of Anne Arundel County will take to the airwaves next week in the release of his first of three television spots, Limited Growth. The piece depicts the unsettling impacts of the rapid development of green space in the County, and states Law's opposition to unrestrained growth and his support for redevelopment. For the past decade, the County has pursued a development course that is unsustainable. Infrastructure and facilities, schools, fire departments, and sidewalks for existing residents have not been adequately maintained, and yet the County keeps urging further growth. Clearly, this pattern can't persist indefinitely, declared Law, I intend to put the smart back in smart growth. More information on George Law's campaign can be found at: Authorized by the Citizens for George Law, Treasurer: Erik Michelsen. |
