At its post-election meeting in December the Green Party of Ohio
Coordinating Committee sent formal congratulations to the first two
elected Greens in Ohio (text of letter reproduced below).
*Brian's candidacy* was endorsed by the Cuyahoga Green Party and was an
active leader in the Central Ohio Green Party when he lived in Columbus
in 2000-2001. Brian was a Co-Convener of the Central Ohio Green Party
and a representative to the State Coordinating Committee at that time.
He was Executive Director, Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation
before resigning to run for council.
*Cummins platform* for the council election is to improve and strengthen

of core city services, education, to include a technology and job training/placement center in
the Ward, and promoting business investment, economic development and jobs creation.
