(HARRISBURG, PA)-Michael Morrill, the Green Party nominee for governor, will announce his opposition to the planned increase in PA's cigarette tax at a news conference to be held tomorrow (6/19) in the Capitol Rotunda. Morrill will outline his reasons for opposing the cigarette tax, focusing on the unfairness of increasing taxes on the poor and middle class, while lowering corporate taxes. Morrill has called for a complete overhaul on Pennsylvania's taxation system, calling it "the most confusing and convoluted in the nation."
