Local labor union endorses Prindle for state representative

For immediate release: Sep. 23, 2002

United Food and Commercial Workers Local 38 announced at its membership meeting last week that it has endorsed Eric Prindle, the Green Party candidate for state representative in the 85th District.

Local 38, based in Milton, was established in 1946 and currently represents approximately 2,000 workers at Chef BoyArDee, Heinz Pet Products and Impress facilities.

"I decided to run for state representative because I thought this district needed a legislator who would stand up for universal healthcare, a living wage, labor organizing rights, pay equity and other issues of importance to the valley's working families," Prindle said. "I'm proud that Local 38 has recognized this mission with theirendorsement."
