Wisconsin Green Party Contacts: Districts to Choose 2 Delegates Each to Green
Party of the United States Presidential Nominating Convention in
Milwaukee Wisconsin will have 33 delegates to the June convention, out of a total of 836. The Congressional District caucuses will result in the election of 16 delegates. The other 17 delegates will be chosen at the party's Spring Gathering scheduled for April 16th to 18th at the Madison Civic Center. Seven Green presidential candidates will appear on Wisconsin's ballot: Sheila Bilyeau, David Cobb, Paul Glover, Kent Mesplay, Carol Miller, Lorna Salzman, and Peter Camejo. There will also be 2 write-in options. Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) will be used to direct each district delegate's initial votes at the convention in June. "It is exciting to watch the districts organize throughout the state. This is another step in party-building."
