David Cobb will be actively soliciting votes from Wisconsin voters this weekend as he travels throughout the state.

"Unlike the Democratic and Republican candidates, David Cobb calls for the United States to bring our troops home from Iraq," said Jill Bussiere, Co-spokesperson of the Wisconsin Green Party. "Greens are aware that the U.S. presence in Iraq is destabilizing the Middle East, and has resulted in increased terrorism around the world."

If a further military presence is needed in Iraq, Cobb favors the presence of forces from Arab nations under the auspices of the United Nations."

Cobb notes that the Green Party is not a party of the right, or of the left, but rather of the "left out". By campaigning throughout the country, he is working to build the Green Party, and engage voters who feel left out of the system because they are not represented by the stances of the two ruling parties.

"The Green Party's platform promotes equality and justice for all, and a strong belief in democracy," said Brian Lutenegger, Co-Chair of Four Lakes Green Party. "Cobb calls for the end of corporate control over our election system, and over our government. He calls for taxation of the rich, and universal health care for everyone. These positions challenge the Bush administration, and the Kerry candidacy."

The Wisconsin Green Party stands on the four pillars of Ecological Wisdom, Social Justice, Grassroots Democracy, and Nonviolence. For more information, visit http://www.wisconsingreenparty.org. The Green Party of the United States' website is http://www.gp.org .
