ELECTION NIGHT FOLLOW-UP:
Getting the database updated on election night went very smoothly.
State associates and CCC members pitched in and most races were
accurate and finalized within 1 1/2 days.
Cleaning
up database: some local races in CT that need to be cleared up.
Mike will follow up with Tom Sevigny in CT about elections
there. Also PA races.
Juscha
will draft a follow-up thank you letter for 2003 candidates. Goal:
Get the letter out by next weekend. Separate letter for new
elected officials.
STRATEGIC
PLAN
(Masada): Outline for plan, tonight, agree on a process and out of
the list, the things we are absolutely going to do, what things we
want to do, how much money they will take, whether there is
someone who would want to take a lead on them
Masada
presented proposal for how to proceed. Aim is to have a good idea
of our priorities by the time the Political Director is hired.
CCC
comes to consensus on accepting Masada's proposal. There will be a
special call next Sunday (November 16) for just this topic. CCC
members agree to give feedback over coming week.
BUDGET
Finance
Committee requested clarification on our numbers for campaign
school budget.
Even
though we haven't been asked to cut for a second time, we should
try to cut some.
CCC
agrees on $5,000 of additional cuts to submit to the Finance
Committee. Juscha will send out a revised version to the CCC for
approval before sending the revised budget request to the Finance
Committee. Revision will include a break-down of the campaign
school budget.
CAMPAIGN
HOTLINE
Mike
will check the messages, since it's a local call for him. Once the
political director is hired, it will become that person's job to
check the messages and refer them.
RESOURCES
SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT
All
checks have been ordered and sent. Mike is working on a draft of
how the questionnaire and process can be improved for the next
cycle. We will meet on it by email.
Revamped
application will be on the website by the first of the year. In
the meantime, something will be posted on the website to advise
interested campaigns to wait until January 1st for the new
application.
APPROVING
MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING
Juscha
will revise minutes from last meeting as discussed and send out
for approval within a couple of days, then submit to CC.
BAWG
Call
for states seeking ballot access on Wednesday. There is a question
of whether there is really a need for group calls at this point.
Juscha
asks to send a letter to the Kansas state meeting about their
efforts to get on the ballot, expressing the support of the CCC
(though not financial).
PRESIDENTIAL
CAMPAIGN SUPPORT COMMITTEE
Susan and Juscha have been working with members of the PEC on
creating a new committee that would work with many candidates for
nomination and afterward with one candidate. Will involve the CCC
in some respects.
Looking
for interim cochairs. Any good organized Greens who aren't already
overcommitted?
Juscha
spoke with Ralph Nader yesterday at a Madison fundraiser. She
updated him on the new structures in place in the national Green
Party and found him interested.
GONZALEZ
CAMPAIGN HELP
There
are three ways CCC could help Matt: send money (limited to $250),
give to the PAC, solicit individual contributions directly to
Gonzalez. Send volunteers, turn over leftover campaign funds.
GREEN
PAGES REPORT
Mike is writing an article. CCC member are to submit comments to
him soon.
