1. Brent's Position Discussion

Brent is currently working on three fundraising mailings. One is to the Cobb/LaMarche donor list. This list is of those who donated to the Cobb/LaMarche campaign but haven't donated to national before. Two will be to the Ohio Recount list once secured. Three is to candidates and donors to those candidates in 2004 who haven't donated to national before.

He will also be approaching potential large donors.

We will need to contact the State Associates in February in order to gather the list of candidates declared for 2005 so far. Brent will need the Committees help on this. We sent out a notice around the end of February of 2004 to the State Associates followed by Brent contacting each State Associate by either phone or email. This year if the Mentors could do this it would be a great help.

We moved the personnel call to Mondays at 6:00 PM EST.

2. Resources Subcommittee

A. Develop new application for resources.

Jen sent out a draft to subcommittee members. Hopefully by the next call there will be something to approve.

B. Compile feedback received from questionnaire sent out to candidates.

Susan is working on compiling the responses. She plans to post to the list by the next call.

C. Letter to Matt Gonzales.

Tom sent the final draft to Brent to send out. Brent sent out the letter on Friday the 7th.

D. Update of campaign manual.

Brent sent out a "Word" version of the campaign manual to the subcommittee.

Amy and Rob intend to get back to the committee with recommendations in the next month or so. Brent has agreed to update Appendix B.

3. Campaign Schools

A. Develop template for campaign school.

Jen will email subcommittee to set up a conference call, perhaps for next Sunday.

B. Identify locations for campaign schools in 2005.

Cascadia Campaign School: Brent held a conference call with Jody Haug and Tom Bernard of Seattle earlier today. They are thinking about calling it the "Cascadia Campaign School." Brent spoke with Jody earlier in the week about a Green House party in Seattle to raise seed money for Campaign Schools. We are talking about bringing in a keynote speaker to ensure the success of the event.

The DC Strategy Retreat will be held Saturday January 15th at the University of the District of Columbia. Brent has been working with Gail Dixon on the facilities. It will be held in Bldg. 41 Room A05. Folks taking the Metro should take the Red Line to Van Ness - UDC Station. Bldg 41 is on Van Ness one block west of Connecticut. Rob Tuft is coming with two greens from Maryland to observe. Brent spoke with Becky Weber from the Green Pages about an article covering the event.
