GPUS Finance Committee Call Notes
Attendance: Jody Haug, Emily , Laverne Butler, Jo Chamberlain, Jeff, Jake Schneider, Paul, Brent McMillan, Marc Sanson Facilitator: Jake, Note Taker: Marc Approval of minutes of Feb 28 meeting Minutes approved Introduce any new members of FinCom (if any). Self-introduction of all members on the call No new members on call. Additional agenda items not on the scheduled agenda No new agenda items. 1. Database and Income reporting systems Update - Doug /Jeff/Emily No updates. Emily has been on vacation. 2. Online Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator position (draft) - 3. State Sharing with RI problem update- Jake/Doug Doug will give update on next call. 4. 2005 Budget Committee, Caucus & Network Tier 1 Proposals Update- Jake Received request from NWC. Decided all requests will be forwarded to FinCom listserv and discussed on following call. Strategic planning working group will be asking for a line item in the budget. 5. GPUS Sharing Policy with Committees, Caucuses and Networks Update - Everyone The main GPUS donation page will provide the option to share 50% of donations to a caucus or the donor's State. 100% of Committee, Caucus or Network page donations may go to the Committee, Caucus or Network, with a standard option of sharing 50% with the GPUS General Revenue fund. Committee, Caucus or Network pages will include an option for donors to sign up as a GPUS sustainer with half of the sustaining donations going to that committee, caucus or network. Suggested we give donors the ability to complete their donation online without a credit card, GPUS will add information to database and send a follow-up pledge reminder. 6. Fin Com List serve Update- Jake Jake will be making a proposal next week to remove members who haven't
participated in the past several months |
