Additional comments or questions

The idea of a 4-day work week to improve work-life balance has been gaining momentum around the world, with many Green Parties leading the way. The Green Party platform already supports a reduced-hour work week; however, this could be interpreted as merely reducing hours of a 5-day work week. Reducing the number of work days has the added benefit of reducing time spent commuting, which is unpaid time that contributes to social ills like pollution, traffic, and stress. This amendment would affirm that the Green Party’s commitment to reducing work hours also extends to giving workers the option of a 4-day work week.
