Green Party Presidential Forum Set for January 29 at Harvard.

A press conference will precede the public forum; the events will feature three candidates seeking the national Green nomination.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Green Party of the United States and its Massachusetts affiliate, the Green-Rainbow Party, will sponsor a major public forum at Harvard University on Thursday, January 29 for candidates competing for the Green Party's nomination for President of the United States.  Massachusetts will hold its first-ever Green-Rainbow Party presidential primary on March 2.

Candidates David Cobb, Kent Mesplay, and Lorna Salzman will participate.

Also scheduled for January 29 are a reception for the candidates in Clinton, Massachusetts, and a press conference at Harvard. (See the complete schedule below.)

On Wednesday, January 28, the Green Party of Rhode Island will host a Green Presidential Candidates' debate, featuring David Cobb and Kent Mesplay, in preparation for Rhode Island's first Green Party Presidential Primary ballot. The Providence debate will take place at the Synod Hall, 271 N. Main Street in Providence. For more information, call 401-490-7602.

The Green Party Presidential Nominating Convention will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 23-28. The convention will take place at the Midwest Center, Milwaukee Theater, and the Milwaukee Hyatt Regency. The party has posted an online registration page, with early registration encouraged https://secure.gpus.org/convention/. Media representatives may register at this site; a media credentialing web page will be posted shortly.
