the travel proposal as put forward by Jake and Anita, with a cap of $3500, was passed ( Ben Manski stood aside)(see bottom for full proposal)
f) food for performers
It was approved to provide food for David Rovics
Caucus Accreditation/current proposals
All felt that there is significant confusion over this set of proposals. It was agreed to wait a few days to see how the discussion goes, if it seems that the Accreditation Committee and Diversity Committee can not reach a compromise on these proposals the SC will table the proposals until the meeting in DC.

Milwakee Dates Vote
It was agreed to put this to a vote of the CC prior to the national meeting.

(proposed letter to the Coordinating Committee outlining the travel assistance policy for Greens to attend the national meeting.)

Since the Coordinating Committee has passed the travel policy which prohibits the expenditure of funds for the purpose of attending Green Party meetings, and also passed the budget containing travel expenses for committees, some of which state the intention to use those funds to attend Green Party meetings, we presume those allocations to be “grandmothered” in.

Only expenses listed in our budget can be funded, so the only travel assistance available for Greens to attend the annual meeting is through the committees that have already had this approved in their budgets. However, due to a lack of funds we are not able to fully fund the travel expenses listed in the budget. These funds are very limited so we are asking that committee members obtain at least 50% of their funding from their states or caucuses. Requests for larger amounts will be considered if there are sufficent funds.

Please submit your requests as soon as possible, via e-mail to :
Jake Schneider jakeschneider@myexcel.com
state the amount requested and the committee budget from which you are requesting funds. Requests must be recieved by July 4, 2003.
Please have your committee submit approval of your request.

As stated above we do not have enough money to fully fund the travel line items as they appear in the budget. The following committees include travel expenses in their budgets.

Accreditation
BRPP
Diversity
International
Platform
Presidential Exploratory
Steering Committee
(caucuses in formation must request their funds through the Diversity Committee and accredited Caucuses should request funds through the Steering Commuttee budget)
