THE PROPOSAL:
The Green Party of the United States become an affiliate political party of the Independent Progressive Politics Network.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
The Independent Progressive Politics Network is composed of organizations and individuals committed to the achievement of a national, non-sectarian, independent, progressive political party, or an alliance of such parties, as an alternative to the corporate-controlled, Democratic/Republican system. Organizations that join IPPN maintain their independence while coordinating with other IPPN groups to the extent they find appropriate.
IPPN’s goals is the transformation of this country through the unity of its peoples in active opposition to racism, sexism, homophobia, economic class oppression, and all other forms of oppressions and discrimination. IPPN is committed to the involvement of people of color, women, workers, and young people in key leadership positions within the IPPN and within the independent progressive movement. IPPN provides written materials, reaches out to new organizations and activists, maintains a web site, organizes conferences, and engages in activities that further these objectives.

IMPLEMENTATION – RESOURCES:
A yearly contribution of $200 is to be made to the Independent Progressive Politics Network; this contribution is based upon the recommend dues structure of the IPPN. Additionally, the USGP SC will appoint, on a yearly basis, a representative to serve of the IPPN SC.
