- Discussion with Butch Ware. Buitch outlined 5 areas he believes the party should address: Vertical integration; Culture (play to win, not just “stay in the game”) Culture; Changing Demographics; Teamwork. Need to create better access for new members, especially those who became interested through the Stein/Ware campaign. Interest in major fundraising. ” Need to utilize other FEC categories of donation.” He is interested in running for Governor of California, eventually US President.
- Maximizing advances from the Stein/Ware campaign. Craig noted that social media followers and numbers have risen a great deal; now is the time to engage and direct people to volunteer opportunities, caucuses, state parties. Suggested holding an online event with the SC on Instagram, an overview of working committees, caucuses, state parties. SC will follow up online and plan for such an online event in the \coming week.
- Use and advertise to state parties that we have a legal fund. Suggestion of integrating NationBuilder use to include state parties. Possible utilization of Outreach Committee; Craig asked to be added as liaison..
- Alfred reported that the Green Party of Texas has ballot status through 2034, thanks to Eddie Espinoza’s run for Railroad Commissioner. Green candidates in Texas also outperformed the Libertarians, a first.
