An issue occurred when Nationbuilder tried to make a deposit with a negative number, causing a problem with Stripe funds going into the accounts. Bob is not sure if Nationbuilder has fixed the bug, yet. He will follow up with David Doonan to make sure the treasurer’s GP address is functioning. Charles estimates that we have used some of the operating funds reserves (i.e., 3 mos. operating funds) by about $15,000. With the addition of $28,000 discovered that had not been deposited earlier, due to the bug, he believes that would cover any shortfall in this case.
Nationbuilder costs will be going up, as the party database has increased. Craig asked what it would cost to have GPUS maintain an umbrella account and cover accounts for state party affiliates. Tamar stated that the cost won’t go up until February, and there will be an opportunity to do some list cleaning. Advised to look under pricing for costs for total addresses, and add-ons.
III. New Business
- CCC Request for $2000: $1000 for New Jersey 13, $1000 for Benjamin Taylor, NJ Congress See Addendum A Approval would mean going over budget allocation by $400. APPROVED by Consensus
- Attack Ad – Response
Craig read a request from Media for a response, including a targeted appeal, possibly an ad. Many donors say they have reached the donation amount ceiling after the PNC; is there another way to seek funds? Bob referred to major parties’ PACs and committees. Craig stated that we have a base community that is already maxed out donating to the campaign. We can ask them to donate to the party to address the attack. How do we structure an Ask?
Holly proposed asking the Media Director to write a response; then, create a video and disseminate on social media; or, just social media and video. Cassandra also noted an ad can be produced quickly “in house”and distributed inexpensively.
Holly will contact Scott McLarty to ask for a response
SC will follow up with FundCom (Gloria and Tamar) on how this can work.
- Standing Business
- Payment for 5th Zoom account runs to the end of February. Proposed payment for Zoom webinar feature for one month per request from GPAX is no longer needed.
- Reports
- Staff Report (Justin) – met with the staff a couple times. Busy with the Stein campaign, so haven’t yet drafted a written response to their contract proposal. Discussed use of a communications calendar to help control flow of eBlasts and when things go out.
- Secretary (Holly) – will be added to eBlast calendar team to help coordinate, ensure things flow smoothly.
- Liaisons
Craig: Media; Merchandise, Presidential Campaign Support Committee
GreenStream went well; Media reviewed to improve, and plan to get out news on several campaigns. Facebook seems to have maximized followers – 161,928 as of July 17th. Growth in Instagram followers is increasing quickly, up almost 10,000 since July 17th (28-38,000); Twittter has been gaining ground with 4, 000; YouTube also added nearly 2,000 more followers; our goal is to get to the number to be able to host fundraisers on YouTube.
Cassandra: Annual National Meeting, ETC, Fundraising, Credentials
Sat in on meetings of ANMCom, Credentials and Fundraising. Credentials will be coming up with a list of proposed changes for the next election cycle. Both Fundraising and ANMCom touched on the need for budget submissions for next year’s budget, but saw no urgency regarding last month’s September 10th deadline.
Joseph: Banking and Monetary Reform, Green Pages, International, CCC
CCC continues to host candidate cafes each Thursday evening; working on 2025 budget, 2025 Cal for candidates

ADDENDUM A
$1000 awarded to Benjamin Taylor, Candidate for US Congress – New Jersey
10/04/2024
$1000 awarded to the Green Party of New Jersey to support the Green 13 Strategy
I would like the disbursement of these awards to be placed on the meeting agenda for Oct 13. I will be present to answer any questions that Steering Committee members may have.
Please note that these awards have slightly overdrawn the CCC’s budget balance. The amount that we are overdrawn is $415.50. We will see if there is any fundraising that we can do to close this gap in time for Oct 13, but if we have not done so I’ll then be requesting not only a standard budget disbursement, but approval for an additional spend up to $415.50 so that both awards can be quickly fulfilled.
Please see the current worksheet whereby CCC’s “reserve” funds and budget balances are tracked:
2024 CCC Reserves and Budget Tracking
Please also note that the Coordinated Campaign Committee has no other grant applications “in the hopper” and it has closed the grant application link. No more grant applications are being accepted for 2024. This is both because the campaign season is winding down and also because budgeted funds are exhausted.
Thank you for helping the CCC to support Green Party candidates.
I await confirmation that these disbursements/expenses are on the agenda for October 13.
Scott Laugenour, Co-Chair
