10 minutes- Merchandising: Changing Contract to print-on-demand (Trahern; Decision)
10 minutesBackground:
Our present merchandise system sees the party ordering merchandise inventory and and having it stored in a warehouse. That merchandise is paid for in advance
and we are charged a fulfillment fee of $3.60, plus transaction fees, on every order. This system is heavy on up front costs. We would like to move to
Print-On-Demand for some products, in particular sized apparel. Under this structure, Print-On-Demand products would cost slightly more per unit, but
we would not be charged the per order fee. In addition, we are not charged upfront, but are billed at the end of the month for all products produced.
